I currently have a completely dead navigation unit, no lights on surrounding buttons or any sign of
life from the display, i am led to believe that the problem ,may be with one of the pcb boards in the unit, Does anyone one have any info on the repair or have parts available?

 

It goes without asking, but it must be ask -- did you check the fuse?

 

All fuses were check, power is present at the loom behind the navigation, this was tested using a test light, just not able to get the device on.

 

Sounds like you had what I had...internal power supply failure. Either you can purchase a known, good replacement NAV unit OR have this person on ebay fix it for you. Plenty of other members on CL here have used his services with 100% + feedback.

I actually wanted to purchase the part myself and do the part swap, but im not sure if its the power supply board or the main board that went bad.
