2015 IS250 Navigation Micro SD card not working

2015 IS250 Navigation Micro SD card not working
Hello there,
I have a 2015 IS250 w/ Navigation. The Navigation Micro SD card was missing when I bought the car. My mom has a 2016 ES350 w/ Navigation. I put her Navigation's Micro SD card in (Identification 86271-78012) and it does not work.
Per this website (http://www.lexusnavigation.com/what-to-order/), my 2015 IS and her 2016 ES are compatible and use the same Micro SD card for the Navigation system.
As you can see from the website, the newest maps Micro SD card is 86271-78013 and is compatible with both 2015 IS and 2016 ES.
My question is, why is it not working? What Micro SD card should I order?

I THINK that new cards are generic, then when they are installed, they get "paired" up with the nav system and something gets written to the card to indicate the serial number of the nav unit it was first used on.
