Default Sticky dash & door panel TSIB vs. Warranty Enhancement, 2008 cars affected, question

We are all too aware of the sticky dash and door panel problem that affects certain 2006-2008 ISx50 cars and the ongoing Warranty Enhancement part replacements happening. But are ALL 2008 cars problematic or just early 2008 model year cars?

Back in 2011 a Technical Service Information Bulletin (TSIB) L-SB-0144-11 was released indicating a specific range of cars affected by VIN#. Here's a link https://www.clublexus.com/forums/att...sb-0144-11.pdf

The TSIB states:

"This TSIB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

MODEL DRIVETRAIN PLANT PRODUCTION CHANGE EFFECTIVE VIN
IS 250 2WD TMK JTHBK262#82069062

IS 250 AWD TMK JTHCK262#82023616
IS 250 AWD Tahara JTHCK262#85020711

IS 350 2WD Tahara JTHBE262#85019728
IS 350 2WD TMK JTHBE262#82015066 "

Does anybody know if the serial number range has changed? My 2008 is about 160 VIN numbers AFTER the change indicated. If correct, then my car was manufactured with updated parts (as of Dec 2, 2011). I did, however, get the ZLD Warranty Enhancement letter. So is Lexus just simplifying matters and covering an entire production year? What do you think?

Default I guess the question is...

...has anybody with a 2008 ISx50 been told that their car doesn't need the updated parts because it already has them?

I have a 2008, and I got the letter, but my car's VIN shows that it's manufactured later. My car doesn't have the sticky dash issue.

Are you having the sticky dash issue even though it was updated parts?

I guess I can say, "no." If I allow my car to bake in the Southern California sun, the dash will get hot to the touch and will get the slightest bit tacky, but nothing like the horror stories you read about. I've had no flaking, cracking or fingernail impressions left behind, no shiny pools of sticky yuck, no imbedded fibers from cleaning cloths, etc.

I normally use only a slightly damp towel to clean or a dry microfiber towel to dust. I think in seven years I've treated the dash with 303 Aerospace Protectant once or twice. I baby the car and have always used a car windshield sunshade whenever possible.

So I'm hoping my dash and door panels are of the same quality as the new replacement parts. Just trying to figure that one out.
