Default Is this HID kit plug and play?

Its been a while (couple months) since I've been posting actively but excited to get into the swing of
things.

I went "LUMEN CRAZY" (just coined that term) and ordered a 55W Morimoto HID kit (4000 lumens per bulb), LEDs for my fogs (3000 lumens per), and a 3500 reverse license plate lighting system.

I have sort of a hectic schedule this time of the year, but I will force myself to try and install these things to foster a learning environment. I attached a picture of all the parts I received for the HID kit only.

My question is: will I be able to install these HIDs plug and play or will splicing/wiring be involved? I have dug into the reading a bit but did not see anything car specific. I am also rusty on car terminology, sorry in advance. My car is an '06 IS350. Cheers!

the hid's should be plug and play. if you install the hd harness you just need 2 grounds and a power source, which is located right next to the positive terminal.

Can you clarify, I will need "power source" are you referring to wiring to the existing bulbs or near the battery. Could you point me to a picture and/or thread to clarify. Thank you.

Technically you could plug in the ballast to the existing bulb plugs and it would function. Morimoto provides an HD relay harness which is designed to deliver steady voltage to your HID ballasts directly from the car battery, This will eliminate any chance of your HIDs flickering.

Here is the power source locate at the battery positive terminal

This is the heavy duty relay harness.

here is a thread where i installed the morimoto hid kit for my fog lights, so you can get a rough idea. the install concept would be the same.

like i said the hd relay harness is not necessary and takes a little longer to install. For me, Installed it because I had a flickering issue.

Thanks much.. will look into that! Did you get the 55W also?

Can someone confirm/deny regarding if the front bumper should be removed or not when installing the HIDs. I would love to hear a couple of opinions so I can make an educated decision to go through the pain of removing the bumper or not.

I just realized, that link shows an in install of the HIDs into the (9006) fogs. I am trying to install HIDs to replace my H11 halogens. Thanks!

I got the 35s. My HIDs are actually h11. I used 9006 extensions to extend the harness. Which ever bulb you have H11.9006.9005 ect the install will be the same. Found this from another forum
