Hello everyone! I'm new to the lexus community and I just bought a 2006 is250 rwd! Since the 2006 models don't come with shark fin antennas, I found a dummy one on ebay. I really like the look with the antenna on. Can someone with an oem antenna tell me exactly how far (in mm) the back (base) of the antenna is from the top of the back windscreen?? Just so I can get it in the correct position! Thanks so much

 

I can get you the measurements in a few hours once i get off of work.

 

Look for a car pic in Google images and Measure with a small ruler

Not including the space between the glass and roof line, ~86.5mm

 

Make sure you get the 0.5mm right or else it would look off.

 

I got ~86.5mm as well

 

It was 86.47, but I rounded up so not to upset anyone.

I asked the seller what the difference was, turns out the cheaper one is not painted. It's just black plastic, therefore it might look a bit out of place on your car. I paid the extra to get the painted one so it looks as close to OEM as possible
