Default Need ideas for "basic" front-end is250

Hey forum,

I have a 2009 is250.
I already have plans for a drop, and some under-the-hood aesthetics, but my front end lacks that snap that you see in the build threads - it looks too stock!
I am thinking about a lip, but am not willing to spend more than $350 for one. And will it look odd without side-skirts? (I don't have the money for a full body kit) (Don't want some cheap quality knockoff either)
I am satisfied with the rear end

Here's how she looks from the front at the moment:

My budget for all front-end improvements would be $400 max.
Any ideas would be appreciated!

Yeah the mesh grille is on my mind...
2 questions tho:
1. Does a lip look bad without sides? Or is there a certain lip that doesnt stick out as much (less than $350)
2. I had a bad experience with sewell "fitment" (they said it would fit and it didnt)... Does the fsport mesh grill on there fit an 09?
Thanks again!

fsport grill perfect fitment...make sure to buy the 2009 version

In my experience...at least to me, you need side skirts to complete any front lip

I think I may end up going with the fsport mesh grill, a trd grill badge, and the couture jspec lip (subtle but noticeable)...

Thanks for the ideas guys

Judging from the 4x4 ground clearance, it appears you're on stock suspension. For that money have you considered lowering springs? I helps ALOT with the over all appearance of the car.

I fear after you get the front lip, it won't match the sides and rear; so you might not like that.

Just my $.02

Yeah I know! If you read my whole post at the beginning, I said I had plans for lowering -- going the bc coilovers route.

The lip I'm considering is not too big.. :
2009-2010 Lexus IS Series IS250 IS350 Couture J-Spec Front Lip Under Spoiler Air Dam - 1 Piece: Amazon.ca: Automotive 2009-2010 Lexus IS Series IS250 IS350 Couture J-Spec Front Lip Under Spoiler Air Dam - 1 Piece: Amazon.ca: Automotive
(It says its unavailable atm, but this ad has multiple pics).

Im hoping after the drop, a subtle lip won't look odd minus sides...

According to the pictures that is a 2006-2008 lip. They either have their images or info wrong.

That is a replica OEM GFX front lip. Look at the one review that says it took lots of work to make it fit and that the pics don't match to what he got. I say stay away from that. Extreme Dimensions (a CL vendor) sells a lip just like it.

I'd go with ISland350 view..

make SURE its for 09's because its not the same as 06-08 if you look at the grill and fog area... remember that most sellers won't know the actual difference if they dont spend much time following the difference in a same gen car..

not to hijack this thread, but when you say "basic" front end, I was thinking you would be asking for what was the "simplest" front end you could get. I also do not have side skirts, and also feel that the stock front lip lacks that "pop" and may need an upgrade, and was wondering what was the "simplest not TOO aggressive" lip that I can get, due to me not also having the side skirts, and making it look weird if it was too aggressive looking? I mean, it is a 250 after all.
