Help,
I just purchased and installed a set of xenondepot HID bulbs and I'm getting a buzzing noise from the bulb. Anyone know why this is happending?

Is the buzzing noise constant or is it there only first coulpe of seconds when turning in the light?

Most HID's will buzz to a certain extent (even factory HID's do this), though it is usually more from the ballast than the bulb. It really depends how much of a buzz there is, and how loud it is.

It's hard to diagnose something like this over the internet, through text.

If it's a loud buzz, maybe the bulb connection isn't great. I accidentaly flipped the HID switch on when only one build was in and it was a super loud buzz, I would try readjusting the bulbs and making sure they are securely in there.

 

Mine does it too, quite loud. I wouldn't worry about it.

 

I used to retrofit a lot of headlights (HID projectors, ballasts, wiring) and the buzzing is normal.

 

I'm pretty sure that the buzzing (which is normal) you are referring to is coming from the ballast.
