2006 IS350 Navigation cannot connect to external link
I've read other stories of people having this issue with the 2006 navigations, so I don't need to know how to fix it. I understand that I have to replace the unit behind the clock in my dashboard. My question is, does anyone know where I can find a replacement cheap? Last year, when the touchscreen went out on me, I went to www.equipmentsfinder.com and purchased it cheap through them. I noticed that they have navigation mechanisms on their site as well, but don't show a part #. See the link below. Do any of those shown look like the part that I need?

Thanks to everyone for their help. I don't really want to spend $800-900 from a junkyard or other websites for this part, and equipmentsfinder.com seems cheaper, if that is indeed the part I need.

By the way, what's happening is the map does not show up anymore. None of the buttons on the right side of the screen work. It just says cannot connect to external link when you press them. The buttons on the left all work fine.
Correct. I can bring up the climate control screen, audio screen, and menu screen using the buttons on the left side of the dashboard. It's just the buttons on the right side that control the nav that don't work. It just says cannot connect to external link or something along those lines.
It's not the situation where the touch screen stops working. I've already fixed that issue last year and my touch screen still works now.
I've read that it's the nav ecu box behind the center clock that needs to be replaced. Part #86421-53020

If you remove the "plate" housing the clock, you will then have access to the NAV disk reader itself. Tell the NAV unit to eject the disc, and remove it. Then put it back in to reinitialize. See if that helps; if not, sounds like it is time for a replacement.
