My driver side view mirror won't return to present position sometimes after I reverse.

The mirror will just stay in the down position it went to for reverse. I did some searching and it seemed the GXs had a similar problem and the fix was to replace the actuators in the mirrors.


Has anyone else had this issue? Was the actuator the fix? I don't have a problem buying and installing them, I just want to make sure that is the problem and not something else.

 

This has started happening more frequently on my IS. Sometimes it doesn't go back up all the way, sometimes it goes all the way and passes the Memory "1" spot and it keeps clicking and I have to manually stop it.
