What is this connector that I am point at? I bought a headlight of ebay that I have replaced this headlight with except it doesn't have this connector.

 

Someone has to know what this is and why I am missing it on my new headlight!

Ok so my new headlight doesn't have this plug and the DRL's don't come on when in auto mode at night. Yet if I hit the high beams it turns the DRLs on. Any suggestions?

More confirmation it is for the DRL?

 

DRL's are the high beams at 50% duty cycle, they are only on when the headlights are off.

The parking light is a 5W bulb beside the high beam bulb, this comes on when the tail lights and/or headlights are on.

The connector shown is for the latter small parking light bulbs. Why don't you have a connector to plug into there? Maybe it fell down inside the headlight housing?

DRL's are the high beams at 50% duty cycle. What isn't plugged in here would never come on during the day under normal circumstances. I don't know what you mean when you say there is just a metal plate, the connector would be on the same harness as the rest of the bulb connectors.

I'm confused.

The pictured headlight is not the one on my car right now. The one you see pictured has a broken clip so I replaced the headlight with one I found on ebay. The one from ebay has nothing to connect the harness into it is just a metal plate where I should be able to connect this...

Now I am wondering what to do....With the current headlight I have no DRL.

Also does anyone know the correct part number for the 10 mm bolt that connects the body(below fender) to the headlight.

 

That looks like the little 168 city light bulb to me.....I could be retarded though lol
