Default Hood hinge broken - do I need to remove the fender?

The hood hinge completely snapped off on the drivers side of my IS250 last week.

So now the hood is only holding on by one side... I removed the hood shock on one side to help... but still opening and closing the hood is not an easy task! And dangerous for scratching the car with the sharp broken hinge still attached.

Anyhow, anyone here replaced one yet? I tried searching on the forum and online but found nothing. It looks like the fender might need to come off.

Any help or input would be appreciated
