Default rotor swap question

I am getting new brakes put on my is today. My rotors are getting old, and I am thinking they might tell me to swap them out. Instead of them putting on generic rotors, does anyone recommend any good quality rotors at a decent price that I could order, bring to them, and get them to install?

You can't go wrong with OEM and they are not too expensive with the CL discount from Sewell.

Check out tire rack. They have centric blanks that are pretty good IMO. I did my 350 brake swap with them and they are pretty good, like stock at low speeds and amazing braking power when they warm up. They are about $82 a rotor.

They also have stoptech slotted rotors as well. worth a look

It really depends on your driving style. If you use your car as a daily then get some centric blanks, or oem. How old is old? if you haven't put 100k miles on them then you can have the rotors lathed. If you have more than 100k or rotors are warped then I suggest getting new rotors.

Brembo blanks are good too.

I wouldn't recommend ebc rotors. They seem a tad thin compared to stock and the slotted and dimpled ones I have make this whistling noise when I'm slowing down.

Thanks everyone. The rotors are over 100,000 so I'm gonna have to replace. Sounds like centric is the way to go, since it is a daily. I'm gonna look at some diys on rotor replacement, and I might even do the brakes myself, however I have never attempted either, so I might just have the mechanic take care of everything. What do you all think?

can you link it? Also, I am showing 4 different "centric" rotors on tire rack. Which one should I purchase?

you should do it your self!! DIY is the way to go. They are actually extremely easy to change if your good with some hand tools. I can do a full rotor and brake change in an hour or two. once you take off the caliper/bracket, the rotors pop off the hub fairly easy.
