Stains under side mirrors?
I just washed my car and noticed some stains running down from both my side view mirrors. Stains are dark brown, probably grease from mirrors, but they wont come out with regular soap/scrub. Anyone else have this problem? any recommendations for how to get them out? i didnt want to scrub to hard and damage any paint. any help would be appreciated. thanks.
It's usually oil residue on the rockers from the rain drains but it's usually just dust/dirt from the mirror, emblems etc.
Those lines if sitting awhile, especially with the paint not waxed or a sealant where a spray detailer would work, sometimes will need a paint cleaner or all in one wax/sealant to remove the lines.

Have a 13 RX450H. Both side mirrors are "leaking" some liquid that is staining the paint underneath, took it in last year and they had to buff it out as a normal wash would not remove the stain. Mine is not brown, but whiteish.
Took it in again after the long winter... the stains are way worse, I'm embarrassed that my lux vehicle has such unsightly stains. Dealer said there was a service bulletin whereas the side mirror had some exposed metal that corroded when exposed to salt (long East coast winters). They went ahead and ordered replacement mirrors for me. These mirrors apparently had a coating on the metal which prevents the corrosion from happening.
Don't be shy to complain to your dealer... mine has been nothing but accommodating. Hope this helps.
