Default Tar on Paint from Roadwork?

You can tell summer is here when crews are out to pave the roads...
unfortunately despite always slowing down to a crawl, tar managed to find itself on the paint.
Not easy to remove although I found spraying Liquid Wrench did the trick since this was all I had available.
It also mentions on the can that it will not harm paint.
I sprayed the affected area, waited about 15 minutes & rubbed the tar off with a Microfiber Cloth.
Some areas you will need to scratch the thicker tar with the Microfiber Cloth on the finger.
The tar was all on one side & the back of the vehicle, 2 hours hard labor. Wash & Wax the vehicle when you are sure you removed all the tar.
Before, (with the Liquid Wrench sprayed on) & after (wiped with the Microfiber Cloth) photos.

I seem to recall that WD-40 can work well too (possibly with less to no waiting).

WD-40 should also work, unfortunately the can I had didn't function any more & I wanted to tackle the job while I was in a spontaneous mood to do so.
The part, doesn't harm the paint, motivated me more. I do not know about the waiting, that's the easy part, it's the rubbing the tar off, is the arm & back killer.
I do not wish this happens to anybody although at least there are inexpensive & effective solutions.

I did not know about Liquid Wrench, thanks for the tip. I would have used the Goop Off and that would have cost a fortune.

And WD-40, now I have another use for it!

Apparently a 12 year old kid prefers WD40 & isn't too fond of other products:
