Hey so the is350 I'm interest in purchasing, possibly this weekend, is being sold with Blizzak winter tires, I'm guessing the wheels on a 350 are 18 inch. I'm going to keep the blizzaks for winter but what should I get now since it's spring. Should I grt all seasons, sport tires? And I would like to avoid buying online, is there any shop or store I would be able to get either the stock tires that come with the 350 or some other decent sport tires. I got a quote from just tires for $1000 for all 4 all season tires. Will it be much more for sport tires?

Costco. You can get Pilot Super Sports for about $1000 or possibly less with rebates. If you do not like them, Costco also sells PS2s (more money) and plenty of Bridgestones tires. They do not stock summer tires usually so you would need to have them ordered and it usually takes 3-5 business days to have them arrive at the shop.
Do I need to know any special dimensions of the wheels or just say I need 18 inch super sports?

If you want the exact tire size of the stock tires, you just tell them the type of tire, year of your car, Lexus IS350 and that you have 18 inch rims. The stock sizes are stored in their database. If you want to run slightly wider tires or lower profile tires, then you need to specifically tell them the size you want.Originally Posted by P128sniper

Right now Discount Tire has a sale on tires on ebay. $100 off any order over $400 & free shipping. Last day of the sale is tomorrow though.

Depends, if you're just swapping tires using the stock wheels, then you should probably get all-seasons. Continental DWS tires are great for that and good for snow too. That or you can buy a set of wheels for the summer and use summer tires on those. That's what I did and kept the stock wheels for snow tires so I just have to swap them over in my garage in less than an hour. I'm using Nitto Invo tires which are great, really quiet ride and less than $800 for all four. I wouldn't put summer tires on the stocks here in Chicago cause if you get caught in snow then you're screwed.

IMHO, you can't beat the Michelin Pilot Super Sport... but I live in the South where it *rarely* snows.
I have them on my IS350 and my BMW. They are incredible (wet/dry handling, noise, compliance and treadwear)... most expert reviews agree.
I got my last set at Kaufman tire. They were somehow cheaper there than Costco.

Thanks everyone, let's say I do get the car this upcoming weekend, it has the blizzaks know and I do buy the super sports, when do you guys recommend I put the super sports on? Should I wait another month? Remember I'm in Chicago, checked the weather and it should stay high 30s low 40s and even 50s from now on... Will the super sports go on fine o the rims that have tthe blizzaks now, I really don't want to buy rims now as well..
