Hey guys! I'm coming up on the first oil change but ran into some conflicting info regarding K n N oil filters. Is PS-7023 the proper size for a 2009 is250 RWD 2.5L? I know this may sound like a stupid question but I spoke with a guy at O'Reilly's and he has me a little confused! Does the AWD use a different size filter? Thanks a bunch!

I suggest going directly to the K&N website to confirm the part number. 06'-12' use the exact same filter. AWD has nothing to do with it.

 

Not sure the size but I think awd and rwd are same. U may want to look into an oil less filter like the fsport. Better for MAF.

What are the benefits of a K&N oil filter? I've seen magnetic oil plugs on ebay. Do those work?

 

Thanks guys! The gentleman at O'Reilly's didn't carry the K n N PS-7023 but he had a Wix that would fit...he pointed out it called for 2-different Wix filters for a 2009 is250.One for RWD and one for AWD. He said the AWD was slightly taller. Anyway, the K n N website confirmed that PS-7023 was the only K n N oil filter for this IS....thanks for your input!

daileycon, I'll answer your question even though this isn't your thread and it isn't even related to what the op was asking. The magnetic oil plug collects any metal shaving that may be in your oil pan. Yes they work and next time you change your oil install it. I was going to buy that but never did.
