Default Ebay LED DRL headlamps

Has anyone actually tried these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-09-Lexus-IS250-SMD-LED-DRL-Signal-Projector-Headlights-Black/360869569890?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.RVI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20261%26meid%3D5139905262371388913%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D9059%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D171250573536

I'm curious about these as well. I'm sure the LED strip isn't as bright as factory but 300 isn't bad.

they look extremely cheap to me and nothing like oem and for 346 I dont think I would chance it. Why not search on forums under classifieds for a used set of oem headlamps?

These are probably like the Honda aftermarket lights. They're mediocre at best. Still cheap though.

Super cheap compared to the OEM I bought.
Wished these were out when I bought my 2012 lights... the GF would have never known the difference!
(she drives the IS) lol

H1 projectors are usually mediocre. I'm more curious about the LED strips.

A buddy and I installed these in his 2009 last night.
They completely change the look however i found these few issues
The halogen DRL still comes on standard
The LED strip only comes on with the parking lights turned on
The relay for the fog lights is now messed up because after the install they won't turn on at all

Like anything and everything you get what you pay for.
Got a set for my 06 I'm just debating installation now

Thanks Andrew for sharing your experiences, just a few comments.

1) halogen DRL - you will have to disable this via techstream if you havent already
2) LED strip w/ parking lights - the LED strips stay on with headlights too right? Essentially they are using the parking light trigger i think... If you want them always on they will have to be hard wired
3) relay for fogs - can you provide more insight on this? If you install HLs then your fogs dont work? if you remove the HLs do your fogs work again?

MODS - was wondering if you can merge this thread with https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...s-alibaba.html. Thanks in advance!

either have toyota do it via techstream and obtain the software/cable yourself and via a computer you can deactivate it

Before you buy these please see my post

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...eadlights.html

I had these install twice and they were defective both times.

Damn. I was really hoping to buy a pair of these but now that I see that they tend to be defective or not that great looking compared to OEM, I think I'd rather stick with the stockers.
