Why does my stereo sound better playing my iPhone via Bluetooth than my iPod does plugged directly into the USB?



Seems like it would be just the opposite. Much more bass and just a deeper richer sound.

 

Not sure of the year you have but it could be from the analog cord your using. My 06 has terriable sound quality with the cord I'm using. It's a non ML system, I'm planning on using a better quality cord and see if that improves overall quality.

 

Gosh....I never thought about it being the cord. It is the Apple cord that came with the iPod. Hmmmmmm.

 

The cord should not matter. It's a digital transmission; one cord's 1's and 0's isn't magically better than another cord's 1's and 0's. It's probably the source material, or it's the way Bluetooth compresses audio.

 

I've always found the USB to slightly better quality than the Bluetooth.

I've used an iPhone 3GS, 4S and 5S in my 2011.
