Just a random suggestion, I converted my flac songs to the apple lossless (m4a) then put it on my iphone to play music via usb cable. I have a non ML 3is though, so i'm not sure if this'll help you. Since i'm not a audiophile i havent really heard much of a difference between streaming bluetooth and using the usb.
i once entertained the idea of leaving an itouch in the car, but it wasnt very practical. on a side note, i was never able to get usb audio to work on my samsung s7 on the factory rom.
Good Luck!

I can't get this car to play the audio files off my iphone 7 over USB. I have lossless but it only plays audio over Bluetooth, I have to solve that problem first. But honestly, if you care that much about sound quality buy CD's or Audio DVD's (If they are around still). FLAC is a great lossless format but I have yet to see it supported in cars. Another option would be to get a FLAC player and run it through the AUX in. Not sure how much loss you will get that way, but it should be better than going to a loss format like MP3.
