some guys delete their resonator, just wanted to know what is the advantage and disadvantage of doing so
also looking for some exhaust System recommendation for my AWD IS250
start off with an axle back. Nice exhaust purr but not too loud. then if your feeling ballsy and its not too loud then, do a resonator delete. . Fair warning, deleting the resonator will increase sound to sound better but also increase cabin drone

would i have to use my stock mid pipe because it seems hard to find mid pipe for AWD
Personally I'd start with an aftermarket axelback because the OEM muffler is what really deadens the sound. Once you have an aftermarket muffler, then a res delete is more noticeable. If you delete the res first and then get an axelback later, it might be too loud for you and you might just end up putting the resonator back on.
Most axle back exhausts are pretty quiet on the 2IS...HKS and Fsport will be the loudest to where you probably wouldn't want the midpipe. I would advise against deleting the resonator, I did that on my stock midpipe with the GReddy SP Elite axle back (because it was too quiet) and yes it was louder, but it sounded very raspy and high pitched...I ordered the Invidia midpipe the very next week and was very happy. Here are a couple youtube videos of mine so you can hear the difference with the resonator deleted. Hope this helps
