Default cam gear recall went wrong

drop my car of 2 weeks ago for the recall they had the car for 7 days once i get to dealership i had to wait an hour for them to pull the car up to the front, the guy said the car wasn't turning on, i dont know if they left the car unplug or they left something on and it killed my battery, once i got the car back i started driving home, once the car was all the way warmed up i notice my idle wasn't as smooth as before, when the car is in gear it idles at 500 and when the fan comes on it shakes a lil and drops to 400, i call my advisor i explain to him my problem, he said because the battery was unplugged it take few miles for the car to relearn how to idle, so i kept on driving, next day it was doing the same thing this time behind the light the rpm kept going from 500 to 600 jumping up and down i did lot of research, few said it could be the battery going bad tested the battery and the battery puts out 14.1 while driving, than i look on CL and found this tech tip
Tech Tip L-TT-0055-11 June, 2011
Subject Market
Hard Start or Poor Idle After 12 Volt Power Interruption USA
Service Category Section
Engine/Hybrid System Engine Control
Applicability
Models with Electronic Throttle Control
Tech Tip 06/08/2011 © 2011, Lexus, a Division of Toyota Motor Sales, USA Page 1 of 1
Ver. 2.0 04/18/2011 L
APPLICABLE VEHICLES
- All models equipped with Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS).
CONDITION
- The vehicle may be difficult to start or have an abnormally low or rough idle after the battery has been disconnected or power to the Engine ECM has been interrupted.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Inspect the throttle body for excessive deposits.
- Clean deposits using a rag that has been sprayed with Throttle Plate Cleaner.
- Once the cleaning is complete, allow the engine to idle for at least 3 minutes after reaching full operating temperature.
NOTICE
Do not spray cleaning chemicals directly into the throttle body. The solution can carry contamination through the throttle shaft and damage the throttle motor or position sensor.

anyone have any idea whats going on with the car?

I'd start by giving it a few more days, as it takes a little while for all of the system to re-learn everything. I can tell you this though...after I got mine back from the cam gear recall, I disconnected the battery again. Let it sit for 10 minutes to idle, and then took it out for a 20 minute drive for it to re-learn my driving style. All as well thereafter.

^That hestitation is the "new way" the car re-learned to shift. Disconnect the battery for 30 minute, then re-connect and go out and drive like you would. I force mine to re-learn hard downshifts in 6th gear down to 3rd or fourth about 10 times. After that, it's usually good-to-go thereafter.

My car idles pretty much at 550 RPM (higher when cold) before and after the recall.

Recall went totally fine for me. I drove it home from the recall and the next time I drove it, it was hauling *** around a track.

The suggestions here are solid.

2 days after my recall was completed it got a good test at the track. Nothing like 90 min at redline for a checkout. Knocked 3 seconds off my lap time. New coilovers and sticky tires probably helped though. I did see a wopping 7.1 mpg for that tank though.
