Default Alternator Bracket removal

Merry Christmas all. Does anyone have any tips for disconnecting the alternator bracket on the 06 IS 250? I have been searching forums for help, and removing this bracket seems to be tricky. I am following along the TIS repair manual step by step with no problem, but I have hit a wall with this bracket. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Im not sure what socket size it is but the bracket bolt that is holding it in place is on the side of the header. Try a deep socket with an extension, there are two, its the shorter bottom one. (You can barely see the bolt holding it in place.) I think it was a 12mm not too sure.

The bracket is going to have to come off with the alternator. I used all half drive tools. I used a regular 12mm 12 point socket with a 6 inch extension and 1/2 drive ratchet. It was the perfect size because when you put the socket to turn the bolt, the end of the ratchet barely touches the beam that runs through the engine bay. To find the bolt, you need to remove the ECU to barely see it. But if you reach down the engine bay, you'll feel a stud and a square piece that sticks out of the engine, right above the square piece and maybe 3 inches towards the engine is the bolt.

^ ditto. I think my alternator is fried currently. was going to test it tomorrow and replace/upgrade if possible. I upgraded compressors for my air suspension to dual 480s so that's only going to strain things more. I wanna say CCJ upgraded his, I'll ask him on FB.
