2006 Lexus GS 300 Alternator Issues PLEASE HELP!!!
Ok so I have a 2006 Lexus GS300 whose alternator went out. I have looked under the forums and could not get a straight answer so please help me. I removed the front two bolts and the nut that holds the bracket behind the alternator but I can NOT get it out. Is there another bracket I should be removing? It wiggled for a bit there but now its stuck. I have no idea what else to do and I am stuck without a car until I can figure this out. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Welcome to CL
The bracket may be catching on the stud. There's a bolt that holds the bracket to the alternator, you may want to try removing the bolt and seeing if it comes out without the bracket attached
You can see the bolt and bracket at the bottom-right of this diagram:
Also, if you set up an account at techinfo.toyota.com, you can get access to all the repair manuals and other documents

And thats exactly what it is. Its caught on the stud and I can't seem to release it. I will try to remove the bolt connecting the bracket to the alternator and see if that works. Its just such a tight spot.

First of all, that's what he said in prison
Depending on what the end of the stud looks like, you may also be able to remove the stud – if the end of the stud looks like a torx bit, an inverted torx socket would get it right out

I'd like to chime in here. Don't re-install the rear bottom bracket onto the new alternator - it's overkill, and I'm on my 3rd alternator. All you have to do is take the pulley off that is to the passenger side of it for extraction - 10 minute job if you delete that STUPID lower rear bracket bolt...
