Lexus VVT recall
Make sure that when you take your vehicle in for this recall/service take a picture of your engine before bringing it in and when you go to pick up your vehicle pop the hood and inspect everything in the engine bay.
The reason why I stress this is because when I had the recall done to my vehicle, they broke my silver engine cover and tried to glue back together and I was missing some engine cover push clips. No one notified me when I went to pick up my vehicle, which I think is BS.

Yeah, I brought it in today to report it, at the moment they are placing an order for a new engine cover, replaced the engine clips that were missing, and also gave a certificate for a full detail $170 worth.
I decided to wipe down my engine bay today and that's what I find, very disappointing.

whoa...do a search on the recall, check out the TSB's that are out and read more about it. Does it cause a big problem? long story short....yes. It's your engine! Any startup with a brief rattle, cranking sound is not a good thing. Get it changed and go in for a recall. It's free and you can get a loaner!
