Look under the Lexus on your current windshield and you will see who was the OEM manufacturer for it. Mine says AGC Automotive. Call the shops in your area and see if they can get you that brand of windshield. It should cost the same as any other OEM windshield and will be covered by your insurance. The only thing different from a Lexus branded windshield is that it doesn't say Lexus and it costs a whole lot less. What ever you do, stay away from safelite... their windshields suck.

You could order this one:

http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2012/4662.html

comes out to $699.35 with the Club Lexus Discount and about $95 shipping to CA

replaced a windshield recently with "safelite."
they might not be as cheap as other independent shops, but the price
was pretty good. i went with them because i move every few years and
they have many locations throughout the US

one thing i did not like, however, is the universal seal they use.
its smaller and not as bulky as my oem seal (this was for a nissan 240sx, btw)
but because of its smaller design, it did not completely cover space (gap)between the A pillar and the window.

I agree that OEM is the way to go I had a safelite once on a Honda CR-V it pitted easy, cheap thin glass.

I've had zero problems with aftermarket windshields personally, just go to a reputable shop in the area for a clean install. I'm a window tinter, and thus have a great relationship with a windshield guy so I could be getting a better than average experience.

I've read good things about Pilkington and PPG.
