Wow guys, sorry for not being able to follow thru with this but its now for sale. I have too many other life priorities at the moment and a good investment opportunity I could use some spending money on.

Its funny how priorities shift but next year at this time I will have a new IS project to report on.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/2ge...-complete.html

It would be my hope another IS member can take advantage of this and transform their ride! Or put it into their FRS

Remember we briefly talked about Real Estate venture? I had some other opportunities come up!

LOL
It can DEF. be done as a plug and play. Just need further study time on TSM but my subscription is out and I wont be renewing until my life allows me to once again focus on cars in the near future.

At this point I'm about 25% committed... Have some parts I wanted to "test" out that can possibly be utilized regardless of the motor in my car.

Little fuel updates in Post 2 and 3

I think it's easy to lose sight of the big picture:

1. My car is my car and it's completely custom with things I would NEVER come close to recouping costs on if I were to resell or part out (example- black interior swap, custom flared fenders, 11+ front bumper, ISF rear bumper and the list goes on and on)

2. My cars resale value is absolute garbage. Selling and adding $14,000 would get me into an 08 high miles grimey ISF. Thanks but No thanks

3. I made 370 whp with a s/c setup I had over $4,000 invested in.
For not much more I have a v8 and stout 8spd tranny that's capable of MUCH more.

4. Consider this- In the end swapping my motor leaves me with a perfectly good engine/tranny from my is350 to sell. That cuts my bill of materials in half for what it's going to take for a successful implementation.

So I say why not? I'm not paying a shop to do this. I'm DIY. I thought this is what enthusiasts do; modify their cars to specific liking.

Made some progress unbuttoning the current engine/tranny... Much of the underside is free and ready to pull. Just need to remove the radiator and all parts/wiring along the top/bottom brackets.

Did this when we had two 50 degree days last week...its freezing now; garage is the last place I want to be spending my nights!

Can you confirm that the front radiator core support is merely bolted on?

Confirmed! That's how I pull(ed) all my previous motors as well.
Also, I believe the LS1 swap guy has pics with the front end completely opened up.

I would love to see you do this without the need of that humpback whale of a hood from the ISF.

How much physically longer is the V8 vs the V6? Custom radiator in the works?
