Sup,
If you're like me and bought the chinese flyaudio nav unit but couldnt stand the menus then this threads for you.
Ive been cooking up some things as far as some customizations to make our interiors stand out just a bit more
I have made probably over 50 changes based on the many variables while driving. For example,
since my car is white I wanted to make the menus white, which looked sick..till I drove at night, Ill just say it was like driving with a flashlight in your face lol.
But thats ok because I think I have finally found a combination that works. Too bad I couldnt figure out how to customize
it further (like the fonts) or else it would really be something amazing. Thanks to Joed for helping me out with everything as well.
Without further ado, enjoy guys:

1. Download menu:

2. Download inject files:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fp8728fc6o...cess_wince.zip
3. unzip and copy both to sd card, insert into systemwith unit powered off.
4. Click "Files" icon in menu 2. Once that loads click on "SD" (bottom right) to access SD card then "Other" tab (top right).
5. Open update.exe, then update_stm8_arm.exe. Click "quit" on new window. You should now see what looks like your windows pc.
6. Your new files are in "storage card". Lets open that up and copy and paste the "d2280" folder. Go back a couple of folders till you see "staticstore", this is where the units storage is.
7. Paste your your "d2280" folder and overwrite any files. Turn off car.
8. Boot up as usual and go to menu -> settings, choose "Green" skin color and voila. You are done
Here are customized, minimalistic boot up screens for your unit.
Simply rename to logo.bmp and place it in the root of your sd card:

Used dropbox to host files the files. If you dont have dropbox then would you mind signing up through this link? I need all the space I can get:

Is the bootup logo link the same file as the first link in the post? Or do we save the picture and change it to a bmp file?
Thanks saving it for future use.

Sorry about that infectious. The correct BMP is ready in the zip file. Download then rename to logo.bmp.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks

Thanks MEAHT, this is awesome! Just to make sure, this only replaces the GREEN skin right? So if we want to revert back to default we can use blue/orange still?
Thats is correct!
If you prefer not to overwrite the green skin you can rename the custom directory "green_skin" to -> "orange_skin" and then copy it over.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Are there multiple versions of the software or hardware? I ask this because I don't have the "Files" icon.

Thanks a lot man!)
The only problem I got is that I cannot use logo file. On the startup system says that file height is higher then the height of the screen( I'm using 800x480 bmp format) anyone had same issue?

That's weird. The Files icon is named "MAGR_BTN_FILES.bmp". Is this file in your skin folder?Originally Posted by on1ydabest

I had plenty issues getting my own custom logos to show up, always got that same message. Joed was cool enough to save them for me as bmp. These are the same ones included in the download. Download then rename it to logo.bmp, then place it in the root of your card.
Hope this helps.

Just wanted to bump this up for new members and also say thanks, Meaht, these menus look awesome!
