NEED HELP. Navigation and Cruise Control Issues
So I just picked up my 09 is350 w/ 41k miles from a private party. LOVE the car, I am coming from a long line of Infiniti cars, G35, and G37's. The lexus feels a lot smoother and more luxurious (minus the green lighting for buttons).
I was using the navigation system yesterday and It would not tell me when to turn or re-route if I were to miss a turn. It seems like the guidance is just not functioning at all! It says "Proceed to the highlighted route" and when I get to it it does not direct me from that point on. Interesting thing is that when I reach the destination (since I know the way) It says "You have reached your destination". This is not a nav guidance volume issue, but rather guidance problem all together.
Another weird issue that is happening is that the cruise control will not let me set the speed. The green light comes on but will not hold speed.
I am wondering if the previous owner put a bypass on it since I am able to type in phone numbers while driving but nav and maintenance menus are locked out when in motion. Also I cannot locate a switch anywhere if there is one installed.
Any help is appreciated!!
Thanks

I'm in NorCal (east bay).
If they did the nav bypass, wouldn't there be a switch somewhere?
And yes I am aware you have you have to hit 'down' to set the cruise,
