If your screen is blank & non of the side button/control work the climate control, then yes. There;s another thread on here where a guy just replaced his & it's back working. The only 2 options are buy te board from china & do it yourself, $320 for the board shipped, or there is a guy on ebay i found that will replace the board & ship your unit back for $450, you have to pay the shipping to him.

I am having the same issue with my 2007 is 350. Instead of replacing the board, do you think buying an aftermarket head unit would fix the issue? That was my first thought before reading all of this, and was just curious if anybody had tried it

Hi everyone,
I am having the same issue, however screen did not die suddenly. It died over two days . I suspect overheating is the cause because just a day before that I left the climate at hottest setting for 7 minutes at Hi to kill AC bacteria. It is hot here most of the year and we do not use the heater.
Now I can't use my AC ! I Disconnected the screen and plugged it back and it came to life for 30 sec showing different menu than what the car is set to show.
However, now it is completely dead. I have noticed that the board is super hot. And Nav and AC Were all working fine, even the screen it self before this happened. Tried disconnecting the battery several times with no luck. Any way to turn on the AC Manually or any fuse to check for? Also where is the thread that shows how to replace the board?
Keep in mind I have done frozen touch screen fix around 3 years ago, and DVD while moving (which require wires to be cut and connected differently) around 4 months ago.
Appreciate if someone can help...07 IS350
thanks
