Default Navigation screen black after replacing

Hi all, I’m new to CL. So this last weekend I set out to change out my navigation screen because of a crack digitizer. Mind you everything was working fine before just no response to touch. I take the unit out and replace the lcd screen with a completely new screen and digitizer. After getting the unit back in the car, I fire her up hoping to see the Lexus logo. Instead I get a completely white screen that stayed on for a bit then went to black, when I pressed the side buttons the screen would light up white for a few seconds then back to black. My first thinking was maybe a faulty screen, so I put the old one back in as a test. Turn the car on and the screen has no display just black. All the side buttons light up, my ac works, radio works everything seems to be fine except I have no display. Can someone please help. I thought it would be an easy fix and turned into something bigger.

I had a similar issue when I replaced mine. I went back through and double checked and redid all the connectors and it solved my issue.

^I agree! Go back through it all and re-work it. You seem to be getting power to the buttons AND the screen, since you mentioned getting a white screen momentarily.

Good luck!

Thanks for the input guys. After reading some more around the site. I’m thinking it could be the ribbon cable or the motherboard behind the monitor. I’ll be checking it all out again on Saturday.

Yes, most likely the main connector of the LCD screen not seating correctly. Check the connector Anh make sure it fully seated. You are good to go. As for old LCD, you may forgot to plug the power cable. That is all

good luck!!!

hey - I have a 2013 GS350. Seem to be having a similar problem. Were you ever able to resolve this?
