problem with AC
My AC doesn't work so I bring the car to the dealership to check whats was the problem. They told me that the condenser had a problem and need to be changed and it's gonna cost me 1500 $"canadian dollor" without tax. Are they serious?
Not sure what Canadian dollars equate to in American dollars but I can tell you that the average shop here charges around $200 for a typical evacuate and recharge with R134 refrigerant. I didn't see a condensor for an IS on Sewell's site but did find two available on RockAuto.com and the prices range from $76 to $180. I would definitely suggest you get a second opinion on this one. Don't have access to labor time to R&R the condensor from home but I can't imagine it would be enough to make an excuse for the $1,500 quote....
