Electrical issues?
guys, im having a very weird issue.cigarrete lighter AND my AC aren't working. any ideas?
the AC controls work fine and the fans work too, but the compressor isnt turning on. i checked the system does not need to be recharged.
Help!

One assumes they are not related. Do you have a light in your ash holder? Does that light come on? If not, check the fuse and the cable in the back of the lighter/ash holder assembly.
Your AC issue is probably not related. There is no common fuse or system that i'm aware of that would couple the compressor and the cigarette lighter.
If you have a multi-meter I'd suggest taking the relay and fuses out (you can find which ones in the owners manual) for the A/C compressor and testing them.

While this is important information for some troubleshooting, there is no common fuse for what the poster is referring to. I'm aware that the panel controls and lighting may have something in common, but the poster indicates that this A/C controls are working fine (see his post), the compressor just won't turn on. Thus, the issue becomes a common fuse between the compressor and the cigarette lighter, not the control panel (note that I said compressor in my first post, not A/C control panel). First stop would be checking the pressure in the system and making sure that matches a pressure chart for R-134a, assuming this car is 1995 or newer, R-12 if older than 1995. poster indicated that it was charged. Next step would be to see if the clutch relay was engaging and activating the A/C clutch.

OK so i managed to fix the cigarette lighter. BUT i still cant pinpoint the issue with the AC compressor... i ran a diagnostic check on the AC ECU and no codes came up, but there is no voltage being fed to the ac compressor... im stuck guys... i dont know what else to do...

how did you determine that there is no voltage being supplied to the compressor clutch? If there really is no voltage, then it's not a compressor or clutch problem. Did you test the relay? Do you know how to test a pressure switch? That would probably be the next step. I would suggest looking at http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/...nts/index.html (only works in Internet Explorer) Repair -> Air Conditioning or find a shop.
