Default New car problem...

I just bought IS 250 AWD 2010 and I have noticed that right headlight is looking a lot higher then the left ( the driver side ) . I went to Lexus Deler to do the alignment and by the way check this light...And they told me that this is normal and the right headlight ( passenger side ) should be higher and the left side should be lower to not dazzle drivers coming from other direction. Is that true ?

Both my headlights are dead even when parked in front of my garage door. I've been told that the driver's side headlight is supposed to be slightly lower than the passenger side as to avoid blinding the driver in front of you. Doesn't seem to be the case on my car. Has your vehicle ever been in a front collision?

Mine are also pretty even, but the passengers side is just a tiny bit higher than my drivers side. I can only notice the difference when closely paying attention for a little bit.

if you park about 10 - 15 ft from a wall and cover each headlight at a time...you will see that they have sort of a pattern that makes the driver side lower than the passenger side to avoid blinding other oncoming drivers.

the pattern for each beam should look something like this

Park up againt a wall take a pick. Passenger side should be a little higher for the reason they say. But if its beaming to high then they will need to adjust it.

driver side is suppose to be lower but you can adjust yourself with just a flathead screwdriver

Actually for non-HID AFS you need a philips' screw driver, or a 10mm socket wrench/ratchet
