Default Replacing a Single Tire

Hi all,

I recently went to the dealer where they told me it would be advisable to remove one of the tires because it was a tear in the thread. These are the original tires that i purchased with the car. Because i do not want to mess up the cycle of buying tires, i would just buy a used tire for the mean time until i wanted to switch all 4 at the same time.

If i were to do this, could i simply just take off the current tire and put the new one on? Do i need to balance the tire or do anything else? Sorry if this is a stupid question!

you always have to rebalance when you mount/dismount a tire

Thank you. I will take it to a local shop and do that exact same thing!
