Default WALD Rep Front Lip Installation Help

Hi guys I bought a replica wald front lip a couple months ago but didn't get around to installing until now. The problem is that I took it into 2 shops already and they said the fitment was bad. The first one agreed to install but said there's a chance that it might crack or something. The second was owned by a friend of mine and he thought that even 3m tape wouldn't even hold the lip on. When you put the lip on it actually holds and stays there but there are some gaps around. What are your guy's opinion on this? Should I even install it? Thanks

If it holds then you could just use some 3M tape to help get rid of the gaps. Not to discredit your friends shop or anything, but a good body shop can make it fit.

Did you buy the correct lip for your car? 06-08 fit different tahn 09-10

Most replica lips are not far off from the real deal, despite what most people tell you. So, something is definitely off in your case. And we definitely need more info... "a chance it might crack or something". Where? Why? How? Those are the questions you should be asking. People need to be a little more proactive with their cars and not just take it to shops to get everything done.

You get what you pay for..... Best bet would be to mold it on if you want to eliminate gap

The first shop said that they might be able to put it on but the thing is if they stretch the lip it might crack the lip itself or maybe even the bumper where the lip latches onto. To be honest I don't have much experience with bodykits or anything. I did however install all my exterior and interior light upgrades myself. I know its not much but just sayin I thought the bodykit should have been professionally installed.

Off ebay from IKON Motors. I'll be the first to admit it wasn't the best decision I made

If I did would it be permanent? I thought about this but how exactly do they mold it? heat it and just form it to the bumper?

yes, it's permanent. They use body filler to fill up the gap and paint it, Of course something strong to keep it in place at well. It's a lot of work

If it's polyurethane, I don't understand what the problem is. It's extremely flexible... if it's really off, heat it up and make it contour the bumper. This isn't fiberglass.
