Sounds like the first shop was too lazy or didn't know what the lip is made of. Second shop just sounds like they aren't confident that it would stay on, so they're holding back because they don't want to be held accountable if the lip falls off.

When I had a shop install the lip on my old car, they didn't use 3M tape. Instead they used the mounting areas in the wheel well and then drilled two screws into the bumper. Definitely not the best way to do it, but the lip was solid and held true until I busted it myself.

I know its not much but just sayin I thought the bodykit should have been professionally installed.

if it's pu..............how the hell will it crack?

these guys have no idea what the hell they're talking about or doing

Thanks guys for all your help but I'll actually be going a different route and keeping it stock for now. I'll be lending my car to my cousin so I decided not to put the lip on. I'll actually be putting the lip up for sale so check out the member classifieds if you're interested. Thanks again to all who responded
