Another A+ for Lexus Customer Service
I recently purchased my IS250 back in October from a local used car lot and I love everything about it. Its a 2008 with roughly 42k miles. In January I started noticing that my dash started cracking near the corners of the AC vents. I had read that people had problems with the sticky/melting dash and Lexus was able to help them out. My car was out of warranty so I contacted customer service to see if there was anything they might be able to do to help me out. They always responded to my emails in at least 2 days and were very helpful throughout the process. They told me to take my car to an authorized Lexus dealer for an inspection of the problem.
I took it to Charles Barker Lexus here in Virginia Beach who charged me nothing for the inspection and even had it washed for me. (I had my mom drop it off for me because she works directly across the street from the dealership and they insisted on giving her a ride to work haha.) After I contacted Lexus again to tell them that I had the inspection done they replied back to me within 5 days telling me that Lexus would be covering 100% of the cost for a new dash. I had the service done back at Charles Barker Lexus where I was given a loaner car at no cost and they completed the repair in only one day.
Needless to say I am incredibly impressed by the customer service from both Lexus and the dealership even though I bought the car somewhere else. It is nice to see that Lexus still emphasizes customer service not only at the corporate level, but they also expect it from their dealerships. They may have locked in a Lexus owner/buyer for life!
