CL Decides my next Mod
Ok, so I am ready to start seriously modding my obsidian black 06 is250, simply because I am bored with the stock look. I have done the red-outs, but its time to get a bit more serious. Should I:
Drop it
Roof spoiler
Trunk Spoiler
Paint Rims
Install HIDS
Get the F-Sport Grill
Get a Front Lip kit
Keep in mind, For the first mod, i wouldnt want to spend more than around 200 dollars. In other words, is there a way of making my car tricked out, without ricing it out, or spending alot of money?
I also had a question about dropping. I dont want to drop it a ridiculous amount, and was wondering if it was uncommon to just drop the front an inch or so, but leave the back as is. I like the space in the back, but the front is a bit crazy (its at least 4 inches?)
Thanks for the input, and ill post pics once you guys decide.
oh ya, and thanks!!
Here is what is looks like now:

If your car doesn't have the trunk spoiler, you can buy trunk + roof spoiler off ebay for around $120. But yeah, I vote roof spoiler, I think it looks so much better especially if your rear window is tinted.

For the money you are looking to spend, you can maybe get a set of springs (new or used) from our vendors or the classifieds. if it was me, I would save a little more money and make sure I get a nice set of springs or coil overs. Nothing looks better than an IS that is lowered. From there I would get sway bars, intake and exhaust. Then I would go with JDM visors, illuminated door sills, front lip (or body kit) and HIDs. That's if you are seriously thinking about modifying the IS. Prepare to spend a lot of $$$. Good luck with the mods!

I agree. Do you want something useful?? Or something "tricked out" looking? I would say the best of both worlds is lowering the car...front and rear evenly. However, your $200 limit greatly decreases your quality spring/coilover options, so I would agree with Initial G and say save your money for nice coilovers. I have loved mine since purchased and it is DEFINITELY the most attitude-enhancing upgrade for a car, way more than the CF hood, spoiler, anything else.
