Default 2012 LED headlights and tailights on a 2007 IS350?

Are the 2012 LED headlights / tail lights a direct replacement for a 2007 IS350? I have HIDs already but I really like the LED DRLs and was hoping it would be an easy swap.

Thanks!

I cant comment on the tails but you can install the headlights on your car. You just need to transfer over the hid bulbs and ballasts

installing 2012 headlights will also disable the AFS feature on your headlights and your cluster will flash AFS

For tail lights, you'll need the wiring harnesses.

is this true for all of the headlamps with LEDs or just the 2012 version?

and how much do shops charge to install upgraded headlamps in southern california? the DIY seems really difficult.

I cant speak for SoCal, (you should post in the regional forum for that), but I would imagine maybe 2 hours of labor?

It really isnt that difficult, I personally wouldnt pay a shop to do the install, especially after paying over 1K for the headlights themselves....

yes true for all because 2011 2012 they stopped making afs feature in headlights, so thats why you will lose that feature
about $200-250 for install

You dont NECESSARILY NEED to buy the harness if you know a little bit about wiring and have the right cables you can DIY it... =)

the headlights are easy bro...remove bumper takes 15 mins max to remove and pull out the lights...after that you just wire the lights which is on here or i can direct you...which should take a max 5 mins each light and then put them back in and the bumper back on. A grand total of maybe a hour...

As for the tail it's plug in a get the harness which you will need for the park light I believe...which is maybe $20 oem. Easy work and save yourself money.

New member here. I have a 2007 IS250 Rwd..does all this apply to my model as well? Looking to buy some 2011-13 headlights as well. I dig the led DRL strip.

Generally, the exterior parts between 06-08 for the IS fit the same.

I'm not sure about that as my 2013 LED headlights have the AFS motors installed in to the back of them. I believe you need to switch up a few wires and should be good.
