No, then you just get an adapter. I have the 4S and my fiancee the 5 and it works just fine.

Nice, i'm gonna order one of those angled AUX cables, i've been meaning to do it forever!

I was going to get the Bluetooth receiver, but the voice quality and ability to control calls is much better (for me anyways) using a bluetooth headset while driving. I can answer/end calls without picking up the phone at all that way.
