Thumbs down iSimple issue

I had an iSimple iPod adaptor installed on Saturday by Best Buy. This week I noticed a clicking noise coming from behind the unit of the navigation unit. The clicking noise is there when the iPod is connected. I can get rid of the clicking noise by either switching to fm, DVD, turning the unit off or disconnecting the iPod altogether.

I took the car to Best Buy today and the tech who did my install did not even need to come listen for the clicking. He knew exactly what it was and said it was a KNOWN issue with the iSimple. He gave no alternatives on stopping the noise. So, I am having the unit removed on Sunday.

Before I order the Vaistech. Please tell me it is not a known issue with that unit also.

I have had my Vais tech for 2 months and no noises. It's awesome only thing I wish the tune **** would actually change the song it does nothing. Maybe a setting or something.

I had too many issues with i simple also.

when you say change song do you mean going to the next track? if so you can use the next / prev track button on the head unit, or you can use the v and ^ button on the steering wheel

Yes for changing the song and yes I am using the head unit or the steering wheel controls. However when I had the i simple i recall it allowed me to use the tuning **** to change songs. It feels more natural than pushing those tiny buttons.

Perhaps they can do a firmware update to allow this function?
