Thanks for the ideas. I have been using the cupholder located in the centre console. The holder is great but my concern is that by moving back the lid for the centre console scares me. The reason I say this is that if I place my arm on the centre's lid it makes a horrible noise and tilts my. My fear is that I'm going to break it.
As for coffee cups I use a reusable metal cup that is grande sized. I have yet to try the rear cupholder I will try that.

The console is pretty sturdy no worries. My wife has already tried and we use it just about everyday. I have leaned on. It a few times and had it tilt back - all is good.

I usually only use the center console cup holder for my drink because my phone has priority in the cupholder near the shifter lol. I didn't even think about using the rear cupholder in the fold down arm rest until reading this thread so I tried it out but damn, it's a hassle reaching back there to grab a drink (I have bad rotator cuffs)
