Default How far have you gone....

....when your approx mileage reads "0". I was on my way to work this morning and didn't wanna fill up before work cause I was running late. How many more miles have you gotten when your approx miles til empty say 0? Or do you always fill up before it gets there?

I have driven about the same as TheRyanGS, 20-30 highway. I've also done a lot of city driving on E with multiple start ups pushing it about 15-20 miles. But it's always better to fill it asap.

This has been discuss so many time. When you hit zero there 2 gallon left in reserve which is good for 40-50miles.

Yep. We have a 17.1-gallon tank. Just look at how many gallons you get from the pump after your approx range hits zero miles.

(Although I thought it was closer to ~1.5 gallons than 2 gallons, but maybe you're rounding.)

So is it good to drive it past E on the occasion so you can refuel your reserve tank with newer gas. I don't suppose do it every time but after awhile it might be a good thing to do.
