Yeah, life didn't really go "according to plan." It's not bad, just get bumbed from time to time. There's this one road not too far from my house, out in the middle of no where. Here I don't think about a damn thing but not falling off that cliff.

Puts me in the best mood.

God knows I'll fall and survive and have to tack some other bill on and be out my first midlife crisis lol

I wouldn't be too quick to assume that women don't do this.

I used to go out for night cruises. Not anymore... car is getting high in mileage and I just prefer not to waste gas.

Makes sense, but I wouldn't be so quick to call it a waste of gas. For the people that get so much out of it, it is hardly a waste. I would be more inclined to call the trip to work each day a "waste" of gas. Lol.....

^I wasn't making a blanket statement saying that night cruises are a waste of gas. I'm saying, for me, right now, it is a waste of gas. For me to get anywhere for it to be a peaceful cruise, it would take about a 1/4 tank of gas one way. The city I live in is filled with a bunch of drivers that causes you to be constantly on the defense. Not exactly an enjoyable or stress relieving drive.

Not to mention, for someone who used to do almost night cruises 2-3x a week, why would I then turn around and say it was a waste?

I feel ya. I was off today and ran errands, listening to people honk their horns, swerve from lane to lane and almost rear end each other. Sometimes makes you nervous to drive the "good" car! I went for a ride this afternoon to snap a couple of pics of the IS, and made sure that I went AWAY from town.

This is my other vehicle I drive in the city- I don't have to worry about somebody hitting me or driving like an idiot or scratching my lexus!

Must be nice! I find that 50% of the time that I am hard on my car is when I am trying to get as far away from the "crazy" driver as possible.

I do this quite often. I know this area of quiet roads and when I'm stressed hit em up with the radio off and just let it all out. Definitely feels really good. If I was rich, I'd have a track built in my back yard.

The nicer your car the more you worry-who said owning a beater doesn't have it's advantages!

Amen! I have a beater (Honda Accord) which I drive way more than the IS. Partly due to my commute and partly due to this issue. Wifey comes home three times a week, cussing because some car cut her off, got in her lane or ran up on her rear. She is mental over it, but I am straight OCD. Wouldn't do me any good to drive her daily, for sure!
