Jeff,
I went to the dealership to order my parts and they said the DAM, Window Glass Ad (Part # 56117-53020) is not required. Can you confirm what this part is used for? Will the install be good without this part?

It depends how you are installing the glass. If you install it as per Lexus' instructions, it is much better to have the dam in place. If you do it the way most glass people do it, it's not going to do much (they slam the glue down on the body instead of the glass). Most customers/installers probably never use the dam, and if they do, they probably don't use it correctly.

I used it.

You can see it before applying the adhesive in this photo:

You can see it beside the adhesive in this photo:

Hey Jeff, could you kindly send me the link where you got the Drive Joy kit. I want to tackle this job myself soon. Thanks.

US cars will have the wiring for the relay and the glass itself, up to the dash harness. The dash harness for US-spec cars will likely have the wiring for the switch on Cold Area Spec cars, others may not, I cannot confirm either way. If not, it's a relatively simple thing to add to control the heater circuit.
