Similar to me, though I don't actually remember the first one happening, went out and got into my car, saw the windshield cracked, got out to look and there was a big chip where the wipers are. Second time was on the highway and it hit almost right at the top of the glass.
Other than the windshield(1), Upper Molding(4) and Dam(3) on the below picture. Do you remember how many of each clips and rivets are required to replace your windshield?
Also, there should only be 2 LEXUS OEM glass right? One with rain sensor and one without?

0-10 (probably 10) side moulding clips, 0 rivets, 0-2 (probably 2) side mouldings.
You shouldn't need any rivets, but the clips and mouldings are almost impossible to save. You will probably need to replace most if not all of them.
There are 4 types of windshields, heater or non, with or without rain sensor. Heated was only used in Canada on 2010+ models.

Hey Jeff,
When removing the left and right windshield trim (mine is showing it's age) how does it come off ? What tools did you use to remove it, while not damaging things, i.e the windshield or A pillar paint ?
I'll be completely honest with you, if you are at all worried about damaging the glass or the paint, break the trim pieces. Anything else could easily result in scratched paint, etc., if you slip. If you are very careful you can pry up on the trim slightly where it touches the glass and get a pick/trim removal tool underneath. Each of the 5 clips that snap onto the rivets on the body have 2 slots that clips from the trim snap into, so there are 10 clips to release per side and they're pretty tough to get out. The first time I tried I managed to get 8 of them released and then the top 2 were actually just barely touching the glass adhesive (from the factory) and they would not release. I ended up having to break both sides to get them off because of that.
If you want to get them off the easy way without damaging anything, just pull on the trim straight upwards away from the glass. The clips are fragile and will break very easily.
The glass would fit, you'd need to wire it up yourself though, the connector to plug into the windshield and the one to plug into the switch wouldn't be there obviously.
