Default Upgrading sound system questions

I have non ML stereo, sounds good but looking for more bass. Can you run an aftermarket sub and amp with stock radio? Will it sound good and have enough power to push it?

You all with systems, what brands do you suggest for these cars? I have 07 is350.

The stock speakers, even non-ML, in the 2IS are pretty good. Adding a single 10" or 12" sub makes a big difference. Of course, if you're an audiophile, you'll want to upgrade the interior speakers as well.

Yeah, you'll need another amp (aftermarket), and way to tap the current signal from the OE amp to the new, and then a sub(s). Not to mention an amp kit. I've had good luck with the following brands : JL Audio, MB Quartz, Polk, Kenwood (1990s mind you), and Orion. Brands I'd pass on : Audiobahn, Sony, and Rockford Fosgate (mid to late 2000 model year stuff).
