Talking Adding some BASS

Hey - Not purchasing the ML upgraded sound system, I find myself wanting to improve the stock stereo system. I'm thinking of adding something like this: Rockford Fosgate bass tube .. it has an integrated AMP, Speaker level inputs (tap into the rear speakers?), Auto on/off detection .. and I won't have to replace the deck (impossible? *grin*) but still add some bass to the stock system.

What are your guys' opinions on this choice? Has anyone else changed their RX330's stereo system aside from just getting the ML upgrade at time of purchase?

TiA - Jason

Take a look also at the Infinity BassLink. Another powered sub.

You can find them all day long on e-Bay (with a remote) for $150-$180.

Surf to: http://www.epinions.com

Type in Infinity Basslink. There's 5 reviews.

What about wiring? Is there an amp in the stock RX330 that is a better source for the audio signal? What's the best way to wire the power to the battery? Any type of manual / documenation out there that could help wire the specifics of the RX330?

thanks -jason

Question Infinity BassLink quality?

Hey Daddy-o,
i am also looking for some more bass and i have no knowledge or experience on the subject. i have a 02 ES w/ the mark levinson/nav upgrade. i am looking for a set-up that would produce the same crisp/clear quality as my stock sub, jus more kick. hows the sounds quality of the Infinity BassLink? shud i go for independant components? any other suggestions?

(course i am directing this question to the whole community, not just daddy-o alone)
thanks

Joker,

IMO, the Fosgate Bass tube and Infinity Basslink, and bass tubes in general, do not produce crisp, clear sound. They will produce decent bass, and generally are an improvement over any stock bass speakers.
