OK, here's my install:

Here's the trunk:

I'll probably redo the trunk later in the year.

Here's the dash. I need to finish the trim on the sides of the deck.

Why do you need to make 2 fit? Get one really good 12 and amp and your done. No need for 2, its just more weight from the extra sub, extra big box, etc. I am a huge fan of jl audio. I am getting the new 12" w3 version 3 here in a couple of weeks. One 12 one 300 watt amp and your done.

Cmusic, very nice install, but I always wondered why I sometimes see
the subs in the trunk facing the rear. Is that done out of having no other choice?
Doesnt that muffle most of the bass? I am going to my friends audio install shop
this Saturday to discuss what set-up Im going to have installed, I'll post pictures
when It's done in case anyone's interested..

Yes, I did. I have been installing my own systems for about 16 years. I do all my own installs.

The sub facing the rear does not muffle the sound if it plays about 50 Hz and under. It does not matter which way the sub is facing if it only plays extreemly low bass. I have my sub crossed over at 40 Hz and down at a 24 dB slope. If it were ran up to 150-200 Hz like many home theater subs are then the upper bass would be muffled. I took the factory sub out of the rear deck and the hole left lets the bass through quite well.

Funny thing is that the harness was long enough to let the factory deck be placed in the glovebox with no entending the wires! The back of the glovebox also pops out to give the deck more space. It was like the Lexus engineers designed it that way.

Hey Cmusic-

Is there away to tap into the speaker level inputs on the stock system so as to add an aftermarket sub and still keep the stock sub functioning? Thanks.
