So i just installed my black chrome badges, now im thinking how to finish off the license plate frame?? should i do the plastidip? but thats kinda a dull look. anyone ever use the taillight smoke paint to spray chrome, i wonder how that would work and look.
or what else do you recommend. I was thinking thinking to do the grill surround but sewell doesnt have my color anymore and I stopped by a shop he told me $200 to do it with labor. if i bring my own grill surround he would charge me $150 for the work. Is it that hard to remove it? you really need to remove the bumper?

It would take u less than 10 min to take off Ur grill surround and less than $10 for a can of paint. Ure gonna pay a guy $150 to spend less than 1 minute to spray paint onto that. Rip off and easy diy imo
With the CL DIY write up, you can remove you grille and grille surround in less than 10 minutes, 15 minutes if you are being extra careful. Save yourself some major $$$ and remove and paint the grille surround yourself. When I removed my grille and replaced it with an F-Style Grille, I was tempting to repaint the grille itself some kind of gunmetal color so that it will stand out from my car color of SGM. I decided to leave the grill surround chrome because I wanted some chrome to contracts with all the dark colors on my car.
Plasti-dip would work for your grill surround, but only temporarily. I plasti-diped my rear "lexus" and ISx50 emblems and they have last 2 yrs plus. Only now after many many car washes has the plasti-dip begun to fade and peel around the edges.
I've seen people CF wrapped their grille surround and that has come out pretty darn nice. You might want to look into that process. Good luck.

What spray did you use for the tail lights? Not sure if it will hold, might want to test it out first. Maybe test it out something that is chrome other than your grille surround, in case something goes wrong.
